Here's How Your Donation Helps
On average, a stray dog entering the Cincinnati Animal Shelter requires $150 in medical care, a stray cat $175. In very few cases does the adoption fee cover the "investment" our community makes in re-homing these pets. Here's a summary of the services your generous donation will provide the next homeless cat or dog crossing our threshold:

Hemingway's Story
This poor dog was found nearly starved to death by a Cincinnati Animal CARE Animal Control Officer. His condition was so dire that..... He required..... Even after a week he was barely able to walk under his own power.
Your generous donation today (will you consider making it a monthly contribution) allows us to provide immediate care to other animals like Hemingway. Fortunately the cost of his emergency care was provided by previous donors making a contribution just like yours.
Watch the update video of Hemingway below, then scroll to the top to be included in the roster of advocates for the less fortunate animals in our community.
After coming to Cincinnati Animal CARE extremely emaciated, Hemingway rapidly improved in medical foster, has since gained nearly 20 lbs., and is almost ready to be adopted.
