Fighting Chance Rescue and our Equine Partners Still Need our Help
Help Keep the Seized Horses Safe: Support Care and Boarding with Fighting Chance Rescue
Court delays left the horses from August’s large-scale cruelty case in extended care—without any court-ordered financial support issued. Our community stepped up once; we’re asking for your help once again.
Our goal of $50,000 will help cover a portion of the cost to care for these horses, including feed, hay, and farrier visits; emergency, routine and preventative veterinary care; and daily essentials.
100% of proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to helping cover the cost of care for the horses at Fighting Chance Rescue and to support their important work caring for these and other horses like them.

Why Your Gift Is Needed Today
The horses seized in August remain in safe housing, receiving professional care through our equine partner, Fighting Chance Rescue. While they are in good hands, the reality is this: repeated court delays - and the absence of a care bond - have shifted the financial burden onto a number of small rescue organizations for far longer than anyone could have ever anticipated.
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters like you, we were able to meet the horses' immediate recovery needs last year. Those funds have now been exhausted.
Your gift today ensures that Fighting Chance Rescue and the equine partners can continue providing care, stability, and advocacy for these horses - and for others like them who depend on us.

Where Your Gift Goes
Every dollar from this appeal supports the horses’ recovery with our equine partners, including:
- Feed & hay to maintain healthy body condition
- Farrier care to prevent pain and lameness
- Veterinary treatment & medications as recommended
- Daily care essentials (bedding, supplements, routine supplies)
- Safe, stable housing during the ongoing legal process
Transparency: This is not a CAC fundraiser - 100% of donations to this campaign will be directed to Fighting Chance Rescue for the care and well-being of the seized horses currently housed at a couple of rescue partners in the area.
The Situation at a Glance
- The horses remain under professional care longer than anticipated.
- Initial donations have been fully utilized; care costs continue every day.
- Your gift today helps cover the costs of essential daily care and medical needed to keep these horses safe and on the path to recovery.

FAQ
Where will my donation go?
All proceeds from this appeal will go directly to Fighting Chance Rescue to cover care for the seized horses—feed, hay, farrier, veterinary treatment, and essential daily needs.
Why is another fundraiser necessary?
Due to repeated court delays and the absence of court-ordered financial support, the cost of care far exceeds what was raised in the initial fundraiser.
How long will the horses remain in care?
The future of the horses remains uncertain. The horses will remain in our collective "rescue" care unless and until a court orders otherwise.
