Help Keep the Seized Horses Safe: Support Ongoing Care with Fighting Chance Rescue
Court delays have left the horses from August’s large-scale cruelty case in extended care—with no court-ordered financial assistance issued. Our community stepped up once; we’re asking for your help again to sustain their recovery
Our goal of $25,000 will cover continued feed, hay, farrier visits, veterinary care, and daily essentials while the case remains unresolved.
All proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to Fighting Chance Rescue to support the horses’ ongoing care.

Why Your Gift Is Needed Today
The horses seized in August remain in safe housing and professional care through our partners at Fighting Chance Rescue. Because the case has been delayed multiple tmes and no care bond has been issued, costs that should be covered through the court process have instead fallen on the rescue community for far longer than anyone anticipated.
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters in August, we covered initial recovery needs. Those funds have now been depleted, and the case is still ongoing. Your donation today ensures these horses continue receiving consistent, compassionate care—for as long as it takes.

Where Your Gift Goes
Every dollar from this appeal supports the horses’ continued recovery at Fighting Chance Rescue, including:
- Feed & hay to maintain healthy body condition
- Farrier care to prevent pain and lameness
- Veterinary treatment & medications as recommended
- Daily care essentials (bedding, supplements, routine supplies)
- Safe, stable housing during the ongoing legal process
Transparency: 100% of donations to this campaign will be directed to Fighting Chance Rescue for the care and wellbeing of the seized horses.

FAQ
Where will my donation go?
All proceeds from this appeal will go directly to Fighting Chance Rescue to cover ongoing care for the seized horses—feed, hay, farrier, veterinary treatment, and essential daily needs.
Why is another fundraiser necessary?
Because of repeated court delays, no court-ordered financial assistance has been issued to cover the horses’ care. Initial funds raised in August have been used for their recovery to date; we now need additional support to continue that care.
How long will the horses remain in care?
Due to the active legal case and current delays, the horses will remain in our collective care for at least another month, with timing dependent on the court process.
Can I give offline?
Yes. If you prefer to donate by check, please note “Horse Care Fund” in the memo and contact G.haskett@cincycare.org for instructions. For donations of physical goods and foster inquiries, please follow Fighting Chance Rescue and reach out to them with any questions!
